Today I read Weird Dinner by L. L. Heberlein. Two people share a meal of what is clearly their last remaining bits of food, scrounged from somewhere.
Today I read Palomino by Olivier De Beventine. I love everything about this story but I don’t want to say too much as I don’t want to ruin the many suprises!
Today I read Blood + Brains by Jeffrey Burandt. Blood + Brains is a short comic, a flash fiction comic I suppose. I don’t usually read comics or graphic novels – I appreciate them and I love to flick through them, but my mind wanders and I find it hard to focus on what’s going on. So, the discovery of this flash fiction comic was exciting! It’s beautifully drawn and the story is fun and silly.
Today I read Fish Hell by Paul Silverman. The story takes place at a dinner party with not particularly likeable guests discussing not particularly interesting topics, but the story is told from the point of view of the fish, currently being cooked for the main course.
