This new drawing feels like a wild mixture of playfulness and strangeness. At its centre sits a huge blue foot, filling the space like an oversized stamp. Some of the smaller details reveal themselves slowly. A red hand raises a wave. Mask-like heads stare with wide, alien eyes. It’s colourful, funny, slightly unnerving. Exactly how I want it to be. This piece is ink, acrylic, and coloured pencil on A5 card. Continue reading Fruit, Feet, and Faces: A New Drawing
There’s something both ordinary and strange about it. I like how it feels at once direct and mysterious. This piece is now available as an original in my Etsy shop. Thanks for following along with my work — your support means a lot. — Jay Continue reading New Drawing: The Red Foot
I’ve just finished a new original painting—and it might be small, but it holds a whole world. This piece is acrylic on wood, framed in a freestanding wooden frame that I painted by hand. The frame itself is just 3.6 x 4.5 cm, making the entire artwork delightfully miniature. The painting is permanently fixed into the frame, and I’ve signed the back. I love working on this scale. You can find the piece now on both Etsy and eBay. Continue reading Tiny Worlds: A New Miniature Painting
Here’s one of my newest pieces — Cat Garden in Neon Dreams. It’s ink on card, full of vivid colours, swirling patterns, plants, and curious cats. I love creating these bright, intricate worlds where plants and animals fill every inch of the space. This one was so fun to make — I just let the colours take over and didn’t plan it out too much. I think it’s one of my most playful pieces yet. It’s now available to buy. Take a closer look in my shop — and let me know what you think! Continue reading New Artwork: Cat Garden in Neon Dreams
It’s been a busy and beautiful few weeks in my little art world — thank you so much for all the support! From cosy scenes of cats and plants to dreamlike patterns and outsider eyes, several pieces have recently found new homes both in the UK and overseas. I love seeing what resonates with you — it helps shape what I make next. I’ve just finished a new A5 drawing: a bright, surreal interior full of peculiar faces, houseplants, bookshelves, and a tangle of emotion. It’s part cosy living room, part dreamscape. I’m running a special Flash Sale this Friday … Continue reading Faces, Cats, and Quiet Weirdness: What You’ve Been Loving Lately
